I remembered today that it was around this time of year that I bought one of my Betta's, Drifter. After some searching I'm like two weeks late for his 'birthday'
He's my only betta (That I remember, to have lived to a year in my care, I'm known for buying them and then after a few months re-homing them)

I posted several times about him, mostly about how he wasn't eating. Though after a year of him not eating much I've come to the conclusion he just wants to watch his form in case he ever meets a lady betta. (Or that he's just not a piggy like most fish I've owned
)
I'm sort of sad to admit I haven't been the best momma. I thrive on routine. And as I just recently found a job (this Jan in fact) prior to this my schedule was very hectic and I didn't have a set water change day, so there were times his 5 gal would go two weeks with no water change) As a result he's had ongoing fin rot.
I've gotten on a schedule now and he seems to be improving, though I think I've done some serious fin damage.
Anyways I'm planning on moving him, my second male betta Lan as well as a third betta (Who I havent bought yet but will keep an eye out for) into my unused 20 gal. So he'l be gaining 1.6667 gal worth of space for his b-day, and hopefully some enrichment from having a neighbour

3: Date unknown; but the substrate was too fine for the plants to root in, so I switched to a plant substrate.
