happy balance in 55 gallon

hi there, i have a planted 55 gallon stocked with various tetras. i have room for about 4 dwarf gouramis, and i really cant decide between the blue and the flame ones. should i go with one male of each variety? or get them in pairs?

I'd buy one male and three females.
I prefer the look of the Neon Blue, but I own a flame red.

I like the powder blues and the wild-type colors most. You can get all male or 1 male, 3 females. The latter is better. With the former, I'm only suggesting it because you have a relatively big tank. If they have plenty of plants (especialy floating) to hide in and establish territories even all male will work with dwarfs.
