Halfsun How Much Do The Sell For

I'm going to breed a male hm and a female ct to hopefully get some hs offspring.

When they are older i will sell them but i don't know how much they are worth?

Does anyone know how much they go for

you need at least 2 generations to get the halfsun... hm x ct and then you'll have to breed two of the offspring together and that spawn has a chance. not sure what they go for though

Just check AB... there might be a couple on there that are being sold, and then you can guesstimate how much you should sell yours fow

As long as you advertize them correctly you should do ok on selling them, you wont get the 100% halfsun straight away but you will get the start of it coming out in the first generation so people will be able to see the fringe developing, if you are able to which you are to provide proof that these fry are a result of crossing the parents then they are a geno type for HS, this knocks out a generation for people to work with which is good, i think you will be getting a nice amount for them on their genetic build up as it is, it would be wise to sell them as pairs though b/c the colour crossing will be important to people too if they plan to carry on with the spawning. so by the time they get to F2 or 3 the colouration will be more intense and less of a wash.

I'm trying to learn a fair bit about betta genetics before I even consider breeding because I don't want to end up having to cull a spawn I can't sell. If F1 (CTxHM) isn't HS, what do F1 fry look like when they grow up?

I agree that people trying to breed HS will be glad that a generation has been done for them. Has anybody seen a DDR halfsun? I saw one on Aquabid once and it went for a fortune, close to $50US. Its rays were still barely longer than the aquabid auction.

i would imagine that F1 fry would be normal combtails, the pics of the girl its hard to tell, but she doesn't look to be more than single ray, so i would imagine the first generation would lose some of the halfmoon spread from dad, but that it would improve again in F2 etc but i'm still learning about the whole genetics thing myself so not totally sure
