Halfmoon Betta Tail Biting.

My halfmoon betta is nipping his tail and I have no idea why. He is in a 2.5 gallon heated filtered aquarium that I clean every week. I know its small for a betta but its the only place to put him. How can I stop him from doing that?

Heated? most do it out od bordom or stress, try re-arranging his tank, but very rare they stop once they start

Your profile pic reminds me of my first halfmoon betta and I will try to get a few hiding places for him
