as long as the damaged area doesn't get infected it should grow back and the fish will be fine. Monitor the fish for any signs of fungus (white fluffy stuff on the fin) or bacterial infections (red inflammed area). If the fish is healthy and the water quality good it should heal without any problems.

i noticed about 2 weeks ago that one i my kribs had a great chunk of his tail missing (my other krib is the main suspect). other than that he seemed fine and it didn't seem to boher him, about 5 days later he looked like it had never happened, his tail had grown back perfectly.
chances are the same will happen with yours, hope so!!
