Hairy white patch?

I have just noticed a small white patch right on the head of one of my algae eaters.Since I first noticed it,it has become hairy.He,s not looking too happy about it so i would love to hear from anyone about what this is and the best way to treat it.Thanks

yes sounds like cotton wool disease aka fungus.
a 7 day course of melafix will clear it up.

Thanks Wolf that's what i figured but always good to get a second opinion.He looks like a gremlin with that little white hairy tuft sticking out of his head will head to lfs tomorrow thanks again
