hair algae in my big fish tank

Help me solve my hair algae prob please before my bf takes all my plants out of the tank!!

I know he's a bit odd Chali but you cant post questions about Tony in the oddballs forum

I'm afraid the best cure for hair algea is to remove all the plants, once they are infected it is damn near impossible to get rid of it. Besides with the Veja synspilum you just added you wont be able to keep the tank planted anyway as they are avid plant eaters.
To keep hair algea down only have the lights on when you are at home to look at the tank, since you wont be having any plants you dont need to have them on for a set time.
