This was around about 2000/2001
No experience, no good advice, had a BGKF and Rainbow Shark in a 60 litre!!! Not to mention the variegated non-aquatic plants and 'no fishing' sign

hehe, we've all been there.
i started with a tiny tank and 3 fancy goldfish. no lights, a crappy internal sponge filter and no clue what i was doing!

Looks nice tho..

Least you got to start with 60L i got a 12L rectangle tank for my 16th birthday and had 2 comet golfish...

A couple of months later i got a 30L from a car boot sale, 3 months after that i bought my mates 60L and a 70L, broke them and now i got another 60,70 and a 200L and im now 22 so hopefully when i get my own place i can set up a breeding section.

i started with a 60L when i was about 12, i just chucked anything in it! killifish, swordtails, rams, a betta! allsorts! and now im 22, well 23 in a couple of weeks, with 6 tanks, a soggy floor, a collection of snakeheads and a pink tailed characin that just took a chunk out of my finger! tis amazing how time flies!

Well at least you lot were allowed to have tanks in your parents houses lol
I was about 23 when I had my first tank but was in my own place with my other half so had to convince HIM to let me have a tank haha
We started off with a 12 litre box and 2 goldfish too, I don't even count that as a proper tank, it was done and dusted in a couple of weeks before I moved onto the tropical tank - that was my first PROPER tank

I only had goldfish which I won at a school fair then moved onto more weird stuff when I found out that the local muddy pool was going to be built on so went armed with net and buckets and set up wildlife area in my mums back garden for newts and frogs not the same really. Then wanted a spider but mum didn't fancy the eight legged pet in her house so progressed onto corn snake 5 ft and then 8ft northern pine snake. Now back to fish albeit tropicals after taking up scuba diving now looking for a tank big enough for me to fit in too.
