I got this phosphate remover with my set up..............is it any good.

Says it traps: Phosphate * Nitrite * Nitrate

It also says it can just be placed in the water or in the filter.....which is best?

I also got carbon and polyester foam filter pads with my Fluval 2+ filter.

Which one should I use?

Just the foam pady m8 :good: Carbon is usualy only used for removing treatment from the water, and the green-x will inhibit you biological filter, leaveing potential for problems at a later date if you choose to stop using it :good: the bactiria you filter runns of need access to all the nitrite to remain alive and well. Stopping the nitrite getting to them would stare this set of bactiria to death, resulting in no back-up and potential for nitrite poisoning if the green-x pad becomes saturated :sly:
