Hagen Green X - any good ?

I decided to try a phosphate remover to help with the green water problem - can anyone tell me if these are effective? Also my Jewel filter is full and so I have sat pouch on top next to powerhead at the moment - will it be effective here or should I take a sponge out to make room for it (says on packaging it has to go last in line in filter)

hagen green X are great, idealy it should be just before the floss in a juwel filter

I know I'm being dim here - but just want to check - that should be near the top, by the powerhead - yeah?
