I got my bubble counter/diffuser today which is kind of acting weird.....the bubles come out the bottom, form a big bubble at the bottom of the ladder, then it goes up into the first bit then the bubble escapes. I just went to the Hagen site and it said this is normal (i only bought the diffuser so got no manual with it).....how long will I expect this to go on for before the buble goes all the way up and will my CO2 levels be affected in the meantime?

Also, why does this happen? :dunno:

This is normal on a new ladder, you need to build up a slime coating on the ladder in order for the bubble not to get stuck half way up, it will take a day or so for this to happen.

Edit: Haha i just noticed your new sig............glad to be able to help ;)

Thanks zig. Yeah, I was watching the bubbles go up and they seemed to be going further up before escaping. Now they are going all the way to the top without escaping YAY!!! Its kinda cool watching the bubbles...then again, maybe I just need sleep, or a life, or both

And my CO2 levels have jumoed from 29ppm to 31ppm!!!! (and thats after just 3 hours of it being setup

Hmmm.....time to sleep me thinks
