mums and dads love spoiling there children and making sure they have what they need and want-within reason, nothing gives me more pleasure than to spoil my children... but we have to be careful not to go to far,as thats when we face encoursging you to take things for granted, my older sons have worked part time since they were 13, not cos i want to snatch there wages off them and spend it on fish tanks, but it teaches them respect for money and its a small step to independence .... based on this i know my 15 yr old will always be broke

christmas and b`days they get what they want, but we reach a sensible comprimise during the year if they want luxuries, maybe in the form of splitting the costs, chores to pay off a loan to buy what it is they want ( ie,washing the car, flicking the hoover around) nothing more than enough to teach them that you cant get something for nothing

they want tickets for WWE , i always pay, and this time wont be any different, just cos i want them to grow up respectful dosent mean i want them to go without

mums hate saying no, take it from me,but in excepetional circumstances we have to... for your benefit

I really wish there was a good fish/reptile shop close by I could work at...I'm going to do some voluntary at a reptile shop, when I can get there- the place I did work experience at.
Just look at how long it has taken me to get anywhere with my 270 gal, literally all the money has been from birthdays/crimbo (including the tank) and bits and bobs such as plants/reptiles/old equipment that I've sold.

Same here, spent the last two birthdays on Fish. Christmas was different. I do plan on spending this years Christmas on sope type of herp or fish... I agree, not a hobby, an obsession.

Ditto for the most part. My money goes on fish and my reps. I just got a grown on albino common boa which was not cheap lol
