I've recently noticed that Dobbies has been getting a lot of really nice females in, so a trip the other day had me buying another two - a marbley purple girl and a bigger yellow/pink girl. They were so cute I couldn't resist, and other half spotted a gorgeous red VT that he wanted and although I won't be breeding VTs, I had extra room so when he takes an interest in Bettas I have to make the most of it. I have a new set up in the garage, a 5 ft divided tank with 6 sections for males and 2 larger divided sections for two small sororities. The tank had just begun being heated up, so the male and the two new girls are in the first two compartments until the rest of the tank gets up to speed! Got some snaps! Please excuse my silicone job, I'm not the best at it LOL.

The boy, clearly very happy in his new home and with the girls for neighbours!

The two girls are a bit nipped from the small tank full of females(which I did spot a little male in as well), but they'll heal in time. Didn't notice it before, but that little marble girl has some nice verticle stripes in the photos LOL. Space wise, the 6 male sections(one of which the two girls are in just now) have around 5 gallons each, the female section just a few litres off 10 gallons so will only be about 4 or 5 in that bit with plenty of hiding. And the last section I've yet to decide if that's going to be for females or not, maybe just a photo bit I dunno. There's about 7 gallons in that. Need to buy in more plants and things for it since it's looking kinda empty at the moment.

Yeah need to add in some more stuff for hiding and things, get some plants in. Work in progress, but hey - the fish won't complain about the actual tank LOL. I think I did alright for a burd :p Drilling holes and everything in perspex(although, OH didn't think to tell me there was a reverse on the drill, so everytime it got stuck I ripped my hands apart trying to pull the drill bit out..)

Ooh love the tank - my fave LFS has offered me a tank divided like that and I don't think I can refuse. Yours looks great :D
