Always wanted an Eartheater and these only get to be 4" :hyper:

This might sound like a weird combo, but could it be kept with Angels and Rams ? Do they eat plants ?

Another option would be my Severum tank but would need to wait until my pond is done and have the Tinfoils moved out.

Geo's are relatively peaceful fish, including the daemon (I know I have 5) and can be kept with rams, angels, severums, in fact all relatively peaceful NW cichlids, obviously something like a GT/JD/Oscar will beat up on it, so thats a no, but for the peaceful ones, they make a good addition, they do require a sand or fine gravel substrate as they are eartheaters and I dont know which you are specifically looking at, but not many stay at 4", most will reach 6-8", some 10".

it is hard to find info on these guys on the web...so far as I know, you can treat them like geos except that they need a period of time during the year where they need cooler water, I cant remember the exact temp but it would be best to keep them in a species only tank because the other fish you stated wouldnt like the cooler water.

Alot of Geos like near sub tropical temps but live happily in Trop temps.

Brasiliensis range from 18c-16c in the wild but are living in 28c in my tank happily because I can't get the temp any lower than that! lol

The Gymnogeos that faythee are asking about are different than Geos, they will only thrive in a tank if you can get the temperature drop for a certain time period of the year. If you cant provide that temp drop then it is not the best for gymnogeos healthwise
