Hi,

Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I couldnt find anything in the search...

I have a 54l tank with guppies, I had 2 male and 5 female until yestersay when I noticed that one of the females had lost her colour (she was yellow but yesterday she was clear/white) no sign of fungus or any sort of rot....water stats all fine... today I found her dead, and one of the male guppies (a lovely bright orange snakeskin) has lost half of his colour....randoly it looks as though he has just been erased!

I cant find anything on google, does anyone have any ideas of what might have happened and if I need to quarantine my fish? I have doen a 10% water change last night.

Thank you!

I do not recognize anything from what you have said but I always have found that a large water change can help most things get better. Fish are surprisingly good at bouncing back when they are given good water. I would do a large water change, let's say over 75%, to give them the best chance while you search for changes in their tank that might have escaped your attention. Don't forget that anything in the air will end up dissolved in the water so things as seemingly benign as placing a new deodorant stick in the room or spraying for bugs nearby can affect them.
