Guppy With Torn Fins

Today I noticed that one of my guppy's fins were torn to shreds. Not much of him is left but his body. I moved him to a smaller container but I'm not sure how long he can stay there. He is still moving around and eating, but I have a feeling he won't live much longer. Should I put him back in the aquarium with the other fish? I'm just worried because I don't have another heater to put in the smaller bowl. I have a 10 gallon tank with 3 guppies and 3 platies. I can't tell which fish has been nipping at him.

he wont last long without a heater carnt u put him back in other tank in a net so the others carnt get to him

how many of ure guppies are male and how many female coz u shold have 2-3 females to every male

Once fins start getting to the base livebearers never survive.
Need more info on water stats in ammonia,nitrite,nitrate, and ph.
Have you seen any fin nipping going off in the tank.
Are the guppys all male and were they introduced to the tank at the same time.

Is he getting thin too? Most of the fin rot could be caused by the other fish picking on him cos he's ill. He might have worms - which are common in guppies. You need to be careful that the rest of your fish don't have worms.

How long have you had him?

I did end up putting him back in the tank, but he died. I have thoroughly cleaned the tank and the rest of the fish appear to be alright. I spotted one of my platies picking on the guppies, but I'm not sure what to do. Should I take him back to the store? I've had the platy for 8 months. Thanks for the help!

When you say you cleaned the tank can you say what you did.
If a fish is pecking best to rehome them sorry.
