I have added a few new guppies on sunday afternoon and yesterday after a few hours noticed one of the males fins and tail had been damaged. He is having trouble swimming and although swims to the top he then falls back down and upside down, please can you help, what can I do to help him, will he survive?

What do you mean by being damaged?
Maybe he was attacked by the others?
If he can't swim put him in a breeder net with some plants to reduce the stress so you can feed him.
If there is a rotting look to his fins, like white stuff at the edges or bloodish fins? If yes, then you need to treat also.
Test your water for ammonia too.

What other fish do you have in the tank, what size is it & what are your water stats?

Any updates?

unfortunately I lost all three fish within two days of having them. The first fish I bought were still ok and keep on having more and more babies. I have already rehomed 60 of them and now have a whole load more. Some of them are from the one who lasted only one day as they are the same colour as him when the remaining male is yellow leopard fan tail these are shimmering blue.
