ok so i had a guppy in my tank for a few days and today i got a male and a female swordtail

and the guppy seems to be very interested in the female i sow him go beside the female on his side for a few seconds

is there any chance that he ( well you know ) ?

has this ever happend to any of yous?

Yep he sure is if were thinking down the same track.
and the chance of you see that alot more is 100%......

hehe

mh did that ever happen to you ?

the thing is that the male swordtail does not seem very interested

would like to know what age can guppys and swordtails can have fry ?

They cant have fry together but male guppies are easily confused.

Guppies breed from about 10-16 week
Swords can breed from 4-6 months or so

hoooo thats great

im thinking of getting a blue female for the guppy

thanks

i found that blue guppys tend to be a bit aggressive toward other coloured fish same species too.
all my blue gups do is terrorise the yellow and red ones i have and leave allone anyhting bigger than them.

there is no colour veriation to the female gups, they tend to be silver with a tad of red to their tail,

Colourists guppies that's new to me LOL

I never found one colour to be more aggressive, but they may pick on an individual.
This is why we suggest you always have more females to the number of males of you want to breed them or just keep males only.

I am with HelterSkelter on this one. I have lots of guppies in a mixed tank and have never noticed any one color being more aggressive than any other. Another departure from what Atrix.blue said is that females are all one color. We may not know the genetics of a female that we find in a pet shop but a line bred female has very definite color genes that reflect the line she was bred from. If you ever intend to take up guppy breeding seriously, you will want to know the genetic background of each female that you have, regardless of their appearance.

i need help again with the female the fin rot does not seem to be spreading which is good

but she keeps on pooing very long mostly white but in place gray poo what could it be ? i heard that goldfish do something like this when they reabsorb their eggs

and now im sure she got ich  dont know what to do how to treat it plz help
( i sow the ich on her body but i thought that it was fin rot cause the spot was under the fin that was rotting )

the ich just keeps on getting bigger

and she eats very little

Ich needs to be treated immediately. If caught soon enough an ich infestation is really nothing to worry about. On the other hand, ich that is not treated can become life threatening. I have a link in my signature area to a really good description of both the ich parasite's life cycle and the better treatments for the disease. Fin rot and similar symptoms often are best treated with plenty of good clean water. I have seen advice on fin rot that advocated one or another medication but good clean replacement water seems to work almost as well in my own experiences. At one time in my hobby, I was a fan of various patent medicines for my fish but I have abandoned that approach in favor of keeping my fish healthy through the use of giant water changes of appropriate treated water. Fish are amazingly able to recover from various problems with nothing more than a nice clean water system that allows them to heal themselves.
