Does anyone know what cause my male guppy to split his tail in a few places, he was fine yesterday. There is only 1 female guppy in with him nothing else, how do i heal his tail up? Also one of my real plants has a clear bubble on it and you can see inside it has other small bubbles, it looks slimy. What is this should i be worried?

The plants are probably pearling, which occurs when the water surrounding the plant is super saturated with oxygen, and the photosynthesizing plant is producing oxygen, quicker than it can dissolve into the water.

They do sit under the filter, I will move them to the other side. Could this be snail eggs too?

Yes that's what this looks like. A clear blob and inside are tiny blobs. They did have trumpet snails in with the plants. Won't the fish ear them??

Oh yes I don't have any, unless they had other snails in the tank I couldn't see.

If you do not want snails in your tank in large numbers, remove the snail eggs ASAP. Fish will not control snails in your tank but will gladly eat any that you crush with your fingertips. If there were no snail eggs yesterday but there are today, you have a snail in your tank somewhere.

Oooo okay, time to clean the tank and inspect. How about the guppy tail split, what caused it and how to mend?

Okay then could it be the female is agressive or is it my water quality?

Male guppy was found dead, going today to replace him.
