I have made up my mind. Guppies. in August.

1) What will I need for them
2) Should I go with 1 Male 2/3 Females or 2 Males and 4 Females in an 8 gal.
3) Do they like to hide in ornaments/ have plants
4) Tips in breeding. (When's breeding season, breeding age, conditioning, etc.)
5) Do they or not like lot of lighting

Any other advice.

Guppies are fairly easy. If they are well fed, they breed.

You will get more than you can easily rear if you have 2 males and 4 females.
3) Do they like to hide in ornaments/ have plants
I have not noticed that they particularly like or dislike ornaments. I run all of my tanks with plants for the fry to hide in and because the plants do harbor some micro-organisms that the fry can use as a first food.
4) Tips in breeding. (When's breeding season, breeding age, conditioning, etc.)
I have never noticed a season where they breed much more or less. They are best conditioned on a food that is heavier in vegetable matter than the typical tropical fish flake. I have had guppies mature enough to breed at 3 or 4 months but it is hard to pick out the best breeders from the culls at that age. If you are taking your breeding seriously, you will want to separate the sexes as soon as you can tell what you have and then only breed the best of what you have for the next generation. If you are breeding just to increase numbers, guppies breed easily in a colony type setup with some plant cover.

Well, thanks for the advice!
QQ: What do you mean by its more than I can easily rear?

It means that you will have way too many fry.
You could use the natural selection method to thin the fry.
This is where you have a well planted tank, and instead of moving your female, let her be. Then leave the fry to survive on their own.
