Guppy Question

Just a question on one of my female guppy!!

Been breeding guppy's for a long while now!! But with this female (Have had her for about 5 months(lfs)) i've noticed her black spot has been there for months just the same!!! if you seen her first of you'd think right off she is pregnant!!! But she has been like this for months with no babies born!!

Any Ideas??

Ive experienced the same. Got 2 females who look pregnant but no babies yet!

I think the gravid spot gets even darker and bigger when they are pregnant.

Just because the spot is there i dont think it always means thay are pregnant, not entirely sure tho

Some female guppies always have a gravid spot. Mine are only 2 months old but already have the spot. The gravid spot is a transparent section of their body that shows the eggs inside them. As they get far along into their pregnancy the spot usually gets darker as the babies inside get larger.

ive found see threough gravid = ready to get pregnant and dark = pregnant. as for your all i can say is a clouration or she is holding on to them for some reason

It is probably just a natural spot....
