Just thought I would bump this as the posters fish has the same problem as mine.
I have a female guppy who's been very inactive except for eating small bits of food. The last couple of days she has white feces, and pretty much only comes out of cover when we go by the aquarium. Someone above said she could be having a miscarriage, she has lost much of her size, but am afraid it may be parasites instead. (She was mixed with males for a while, so I cannot say if that white feces is aborted fry, or what)
My water quality is superb, basically just 6 guppies for now in a cycled 50 gallon tank, I test regularly (once a week). Feed my fish twice a day, and try to mix it up a bit by feeding two different brands of flakes, peas, as well as brine shrimp.
I'm in the US, so any ideas on medications would be welcome. Something that even if it is just a miscarriage wont harm them too badly? (Guessing some sort of food based parasite killer?)
Appreciate any tips.. thanks!
