Well, I have gotten my guppy fry to the point that most of them look about like this. Some have a bit more spotting in their tails, some less. I do still occasionally see a snakeskin or two in a drop. What would you call these?

Thanks Helter. I have such a hard time differentiating between the different strains and it seems every breeder calls the same strains something else.

Well halfblack AOC covers every base as long as it's random it's AOC

If the colour is full 100% in the tail then it's classed as halfblack yellow/red/blue

If the black comes into the chest area it's the classed as three quarter black.

but i will not list everything, but searching for I.K.G.H standards will bring up a large list of thing's I'm sure

If you are the breeder and develop a strain, you can call it whatever you want when you sell it to a shop. After all, you created it. On the other hand a show guppy has specifications about the shape and color that it should have and is defined more clearly, if a bit less romantically, by the guppy standards that are published as HelterSkelter suggested.

Also to class a new guppy strain you should breed it over 90% true for over 5 generation.
