also at the shop it was swimming around normally???

whats wrong and hw can i sort it out?

guppies tend to do that with stress and they may settle down in a day or so, but if not then they could have a gill infection, are they gulping on the surface a lot of the time?

But jusy need some extra info to help more.

What size is your tank?
How long has it been running?
What other fish are u keeping?
Have you tested your water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrates?

Lovely fish though, i do like the ribbon style on guppies.

The tank is 53ltrs
Its been going for about 3-4 weeks
im also keeping 11 neons and 3 other guppies

So the system is probably still cycleing, this means that the ammonia and nitrites spike to lethal levels from the wast products of the fish, the bacteria needed to remove then grows slowerly, but and this is all natural and needs to happen for the tank to become stable.

Don't add any more fish for 14 dyas and allow the good bacteria time to grow to remove the toxins that has built up, when add other fish only add 4-5 small or 2 medium fish.

If you have introduce these fish while the nitrites was spikeing then this would be a shock to the fish and explain the problem, but give them time to settle first

This will then all clear it self soon though and weekly water changes of 20% will always be good.

well hes alright now swimming nicely but theirs a problem with another one of our new guppy..
its bloated and cant swim properly

Water change.
The cycle takes it toll on a fish as it has to go through the ammonia and nitrite porcess which is like living in a toilet.
It can cause the fish immune system to shut down.
