So i managed to save a few guppy fry today and was just wondering, what should i feed them? I can't go to the store...it's too late...what can i feed them tonight until i can get some fry food? or is there anything i can feed them from home to where i don't have to buy fry food or BBS?

I was always told just to "grind" up the flake food into smaller bits for the babies. I have 3 guppy fry (one is almost 2 weeks old, the other two were born last night), and that's what they've been eating and are doing just fine. :)

Thank you! and i think i am buying some baby fry food tomorrow because my dad is driving me to my LFS to pick up some medication for my betta...what kind of food and/or brand of food do you suggest for them? :)

I use Tetra Min Tropical flakes for all of my fish. I also have shrimp pellets, dried bloodworms and dried shrimp I feed them now and then. The babies are only on the flake food (we had 11 black mollies last night, in addition to the guppies!!), for now, but will get more variety as they grow.

i personally have always just used crushed up flake and have been breeding for over 10 years now, never had any problems with this, feed them small amounts a few times a day :good:
