Hi everyone,
About 5 months ago my female guppy dropped 10 fry. I separated them in a small nursery tank and fed them crushed flakes. Two of the babies grew much faster than the others. I moved those two to the big thank and they are fully developed now (a male and a female, and the female looks pregnant already). I thought the other ones weren't developing because the tank was too small, or because they couldn't compete for food with their bigger brothers. However, after a month of the removal of the bigger brothers the remaining fish didn't show any majors improvements. Then I moved three of the remaining fry to the big tank too, a month ago. They are big enough not to be eaten by the adults, but they are not growing or developing colors. The few ones at the nursery tank are still very small.
Can anyone help me? I don't understand why the conditions I set are enough for some fish to develop fully and to not to others, provided that they are from the same drop.
Thanks in advance
Débora
