My female guppy looks like she may give birth soon & I'd like to try & save some of the fry if I can.
I'll leave mum in the main tank & just try to catch some of the fry.
I have a small 2 gallon tank, would that be big enough for a few fry, & do I need to add plants or anything else to it?

i would either get a breeder trap (if your fish is not stressed in it) or hevalily plant you 2 gallon and put her in there when she is squaring off.
the 2 gallon will be big enough for fry. dont put them with the big fish until they are full grown or can fend for themselves and not get eaten.

good luck!! :fish:

Thank you, no fry yet, but she's hiding in the corner of the tank so could be soon.
Have half filled the spare tank with water from the main one & set up filter/ heater etc.
Will add some plants tomorrow
Geez it's like being an expectant granny lol

Don't keep the fry in the 2 gallon for more than 2 months at a stretch. They will soon grow too large to be in a 2 gallon. Depending on what the main tank is like with stock and hiding places, some fry should survive anyway.
