Guppy Fry - Release Size?

OK so this is something which recieves many conflicting statements, some say 1 cm, some say 1 inch, but at what size are guppy fry safe from predation by their parents so that I can release them from their breeding net?

Around 2cm is a safe size, 2cm being safer than 1cm.

Depending on size of parents. About 2cm but again all done to opinions.
As long as their too big to fit into hungry mouths, they'll be fine.

I leave them with the parents and get more survivors than I want. There are only guppies in my guppy tank so no other predators to worry about.
