Guppy Double Drop?

Have a weird one (to me at least). I have two male and two female guppies in a tank. The males are DEFINITELY males. Anyway, both of my females were pregnant when I left for the weekend. When I got back I had 6 fry in the tank and both females still appear to be pregnant? I watched them both for a while to see if they were dropping at that moment but nothing happened. The next day both still appear to be pregnant?? What gives? Can a pregnant mother drop some now and some later? Usually after a drop, my females look skinny and emaciated. Both of these look about to burst (gravid spot and all). Please let me know if you have any info on this. Thanks!

Healthy females will be producing eggs during pregnancy.
This is why they get fatter. What you gotta try to remember the fry are in eggs which do not get any larger during the whole period.
So when she droops the fry she should not go thin due to the next batch of eggs.

Also it's possible to drop a few fry and stop usually it's stress that causes this but not always.

So keep on watching sure your get more soon.
