Hey, i know this is a really stupid question...but can i put a group of guppies in with a group of females. I know that t is a huge no-no for males and guppies, but i was wondering that as the females do not have the long flowing tails, would they be ok together?

aww okie then thanks...thought they'd be ok...best not risk it though...what fish do go well with females?

Basically, it all depends on the nature of your fish. It isn't encouraged though.

Corydoras, platies, mollies...depends on how big your tank is and how many girls you already have in there.

its is 11 Gal (55L) and atm all i have is a male in there, but i wanted to put him into a 21-30L tank on his own and set up a com. tank with some females

Basically hun you can have pretty much any fish in with girls as long as they don't have big colourful fins or in any way look like a male. So normal com fish like tetra are fine, danios, angels...because girls don't have the flowing fins you don't have to worry about fin nippers and have a larger option of tank mates. Be sure tho to have either one girl of 4 plus as 2 or 3 are a bad number. caves and other places to hide are also good but that applies for any tank really.

I've found that female bettas will tear up the tails of male guppies. Female guppies do fine with them though.

Just treat female bettas like any other fin nipper when choosing tankmates for them. :good:
