i have a 15 gal which now has a few blood fins, neons, rosy tetra's, a cory and guppies!
i have two females and one male, i've had them for about three months now. there's a gravid spot on one of them but it never seems to grow and there are never any fry?
what am i doing wrong and what do i need to do to have some fry.

P.S. my tank is pretty well planted so i feel the fry would have suffecient places to hide!
thanks

Your male could be sterile. If you want guppy fry, I would purchase another male to cause a little competition like in the wild.Make sure that it doesn't cause too much competition. If it does, just add more females. Good luck :fun:

I highly doubt the male is sterile, they're called "millions fish" for a reason :hey: . Most likely you're female has already given birth and you're various tetras have gotten to them(not to mention parents will eat the fry as well) first. I've seen a neon eat a guppy fry WHOLE, so don't doubt them as a possiblilty.
To speed up the time she'll have fry again, raise your temperature to 78F, this way the fry inside will develope faster and be born quicker. Also, you can roughly calculate the time she'll give birth by every 28-30 days. You could also add some java moss by the top of the tank where fry like to reside. Moss creates the perfect dense spaces for them to hide in. :)
