They say 1 gallon per inch. Guppies go around 1.5 inches so maybe 5 guppies, although that may be pushing it a little. Are you planning on breeding them?

hi
i have and other aquaium with guppies, sword tailed, mollys.... and i will be breeding it but i have the optiong to buy many guppyes and i have only that small tank so really i just want to have that fishes till i feed the leaf fish

When will you be feeding them to the leaf fish? You cant hold many in that small tank. With 5 youd probably still have to do a lot of water changes to actually keep them healthy. If your trying to get a lot to last a while that tank will simply be way to small. But even for a night if you got a lot to put in there most likly they will die because they dont have enough space.

For that tank, being risky is 5 guppies
To be safe maybe 2-3 guppies.

If you are just going to hold the guppies long enough to use them as feeders, have a look at how your pet shop holds feeders. Since you do not care about the long term health of the feeders, you can accept much higher populations than you would with fish you intend to keep.
