I have a 25G tank and i have varius types of fish in there.
It is just a show tank and i'm no expert just love watching them.
I have got all the right bits in there regarding a filter but no heater as my house keeps the water at the right temp!!!!!
My question is about one of my guppies who seems to have a broken back

The fish is straight until the start of the tail and then it bends to the left and then to the right like a zig zag
It still seems to swim ok and has been like this for a few days as far as i have noticed!!!!

oh and looking at it from the side the tail seems to 'hang' down

This seems like a problem to me but like i said i am no expert by any means and really just want some advice.

Oh btw the guppy is female if that helps

Thanks

i would just keep my eye on that one and see it is eating freely and not being out done for food all the time

my mum had guppies with similar deformaties and was always fine

Hi

Are you able to post a pic. Some Guppies are born with deformities, but if she has suddenly developed this then it may indicate some type of disease. Another possibility is old age. how long have you had her. What other fish are in the tank and have you introduced any new fish in the last couple of weeks?

Regards

Had her a couple of months i think got her from an aquarium so not sure how long they had had her got a few tetras and two different types of stripey ones (i just get ones that are pretty and can live with guppies lol) a algea eater (not sure which type i know it was quite dear for a fish though about £12 which is dear to me :D )

I had not noticed that she had it before she was pregnant but no babies survived the adults must of got em before i did!

No new fish added will try to get a piccie now........

edited to say just fed them and she is getting food ok

I can't see those pictures, I just get a box that say that the image and been deleted or moved.

How do i post images onto here?????

On Photobucket, there is list of different codes for every photo you have uploaded onto there. If you look for the code for Forums, and paste it on your message here that should work :good:

On an on line photo place like photobucket, choose the link that has at the beginning of the line of code. You then paste it into the post as if it was text here to get a picture like this. If you look at the properties of my picture you will see the address without the [img] code.
