Guppies

I want to start breeding guppies but all of the ones at my LFS are half-wild mutt guppies. Where can I find some good guppies to start breeding?

What you can do is have a look on the internet to see what colours are soild and not a mix, then you can have a look on online shops, or find local breeders in your area who will be able to give you healthy guppies for breeding.

Note: when you do breed them make sure they have homes to go to, or your LFS takes them! I have about 30 in my community they are still small though.

aqaubid have some nice wilds on or look for a member on here who breeds them

or start with store bought ones and try to make you own line from them i actually did this and managed to get a blue stripe down 90% of the frys bodys

Well Liveaquaria.com is a great website to buy good guppys. Also doctorsfosterandsmith.com is a great website to buy fish stuff. Check those website out I bet you will like them.

Sure. I don't know how long it would take me to save up enough money though, since I'm a kid.

Yep...I think it was like $29.99 for shipping. But that good for how ever many fish you are wanting.

Dont worrie about those ones. You wanna start off with some nice ones from the pet store, if there arnt any you like look in other shops. Just get a few that you like the look of. I got a blue and a leopard print one and 2 of the fry came out blue with spots of black.

You can see what YOU like then go from there!#

A really good mix is electric blue males and orange tailed females, mine have turned out gorgeous.
