I am just writing to let you all know...that it took me about twenty tries of raising guppies to finally say...I did it. :D

I even gave up on them...so much work, it is hard to raise them and then for them to die from diseases. They are very delicate fishes...compared to the mollies.
But now, I have two adult guppies and a lot of frys.
I have to move them again to a larger tank..but, for now don't have either the funds or the space in my home for that.
They are doing fine...because every morning since the 1month frys were born my schedule for cleaning would be ..... to change half of their water and feed 5x's ( suggested by direction on container) a day and at the end of the day...do a full water change.
The frys are used to me cleaning their water..because when I transfer them to another container to do their cleaning they all form on one side and it is easy for me to scoop them up. I started out with 17 frys and happy to say they are still all with me.
On Christmas eve I had to transfer them into a bigger tank with the adult guppies and get their tank ready for the other frys that were due to come any time from the mommy guppy.
They are eating flakes now, but, still giving them their baby food, once in a while.
On Christmas night..after my whole family departed when the party was over....I went to check on mommy to be and lo and behold she was giving birth.
I am so proud of her..because she did not eat any of her babies...she was cooperating and she made me pick her up and place her in another tank for the rest of her deliveries.
She gave birth to 27 frys and they are so active. When she was done..I transferred her to another small tank and fed her. She had her rest and I did not transfer her until two day later.
Now the frys are doing fine and mommy is back with the other guppies.
I think my Goldfish in the 15 gal tank is feeling jeolous because before when I feed her she would come to my hands and take the food..but lately she doesn't pay attention to me when I go near her tank....lol!
Anyways...just wanted to share my happy moments...thanks for listening... :D

The food I am giving my frys is 9 in 1 artificial artemia plus immunity from Zoo

Great to hear. Good luck caring for them. I've got a bunch of guppy fry, and they're getting some color now too.

Yay, good to hear! Congrats! :D

Just a note, try adding in some kind of high-protein food (Frozen, Freeze-dried or Live) and some veggies. They'll be healthier, and probably grow faster with a variety. After all, you wouldn't want to eat the same thing every day of your life, would you? :)

And you could probably cut down to just the water change in the morning. No real need to do it twice a day.

I'm glad to hear of your success, but I'm thinking that maybe you're water changes are a little excessive, and might be straining the fry. Also moving them by "scooping" can tend to damage scales and allow fungus infections. Moving a pregnant fish immediately before after or during birth can kill them, it's best to seperate her long before she gives birth if you want to keep the fry out of the normal tank. I'm glad to hear that you're making strides forward though. Is the goldfish in with the tropical fish?

I hav never had a problem with mine, i have about 15 male and females. They spawn all the time but my other fish just eat the fry can never be bothered to keep the fry because they are so in-expensive it's no worth it.

No the goldfish has her own tank and now that the baby frys are growing and needing less attention..I am back to keeping her company....I sometimes play with my fishes....funny huh....but, they like the attention.
My kids think I am weird talking to them...but, hey, if plants like being talked to...I am pretty sure the fishes do to.

How do you know when your guppy's are spawning?

The male just impregnantes her. I dont think you'll notice like any weird behavior like T-position for corys. Well, at least I dont notice any behavior differences in my male.
