Guppies In A Community

Hi,

What are the best type of tank mates for guppies ? I only want to keep about 4-5 males but am wondering what other fish species would be ok with them so that their fins dont get nipped?

I have platies, swordtails, neon tetras, frogs and crab in with mine and everyone gets along great.

platies work great with guppies. As do most other fish to be honest. Would be careful with neons as they can sometimes be tempted to nip fins. Mind you mine live peacefully with my guppies.

Guppies can be mixed with almost all common livebearers eg mollies, platies, swordtails, endlers.

they can be kept with mollies, endlers and limias but undesirable hybrids and inbreds may be formed...not always a good thing

Other good companions for many small fish are rasboras and the smaller Corydoras.
