Guppies Help Needed

Well I Have Loads Of Tropical Fish Tanks :) I LOVE Them
But I Brought I BiOrb Baby For My Room To Look Good :)

But He Does Not Know What Fish To Buy?
He Wants Guppies.
Can He Have Them? The Tank Is Around 22 Degres (Will Go To Around 20)

What Other Fish Could he Have?
I Hear Other Ones

:hi: to TFF

Sure they can live in cooler temps and a biorb baby is good for them as my dad has the same tank with 5 guppies in it (all male otherwise he would be over run). Males are more colourful and look better for a small community tank but if you want to breed them it's better to have maybe 2 males and 3 females or something along those lines. If i am wrong on anything here then i'm sure someone will correct me but i have kept guppies most of my life.

Guppys will be fine in a BiOrb tank, but like missco said... don't have male and females or you will be very over run! Unless you have some one who would take the babys off your hands

I think it's recommend male to female ratio for Guppy is 1 male to every 2 females

Good luck :good:

Yeah i was probably going to be overun but i needed to cycle my tank first and all 23 of my fry died  But with 4 guppies 1m 3f i should have lots more drops.

Is the biorb baby 4 gallons? I just googled and came up with that. If so, five guppies is WAY too many for a tank that small. Two or three *male* guppies would be the most and you do not want to breed fish in a tank of that size. (trust me, I tried it ;))

Yeah misscosmo you are close but its 1male per 3 females it can be 2 but they have more chance of being bullied and with 3 females he doesnt have much of a chance againt 3.

Good Luck!

Thats why i have 3 females and 1 male.
