Alright, i bought a new tank gallon tank that's being in the process of being cycled so yes i am getting ready to move the females.
I have about 4 females, i don't know why there's rarely females, but i haven't boughten guppies in about a year, so i jsut go by how they reproduce.
There was one female taht was being harassed terribly too much,
so i would put her in another smaller tank just temporary so she would ahve a day or two to rest
then i would put her back in the other because it was actually just a very large vase without a filter.
But now they go after everyone else, so i thought hey--i've got one of those betta tanks [one that's a bad size--only about 1 or 2 gallons or something close to that]
so i put that at the very bottom of my tank and i put the 4 females that i do have in there, and they're actually doing quite fine [i think i'm driving the males crazy though :S
But it's ebtter that they don't get at them instead.
So is it an absoltly horrible idea???
my tank is 10 gallons, and the new tank that's being cycled is 10 gallons aswell, so i'm waiting probably another two weeks before the new tank can be finished cycling.
So stupid or a good thing?
-thank you, tamara.

I dont' think you really understood it...the 1or 2 gallon tank is sunk at the bottom of my already cycled 10 gallon tank...
think of it almost as a breeders net..just a tank at the bottom of it.
so inside the 10 gallon tank i have a 1 or 2 gallon tank.

so the water exchanges , what, through a net or something over the sunken tank?
