Guppies And Mollies

Hi i have 2 guppies both female and they look very pregnant, do guppies get squared off like other live bearers or is it different for them ?

i also have to female mollies and one of them had there fry yesterday found 13 in the tank so far :D just wounder when the other one is going to drop as i think she was pregnant at the same time and she had her last lot of fry on the 18/3/2010 so thats 6 weeks ago and she still looks fat. is this a long time for her to be pregnant ?

Yep!.. all common female livebearers shows the same symptoms when pregnant and when they're ready to drop their fry....

If you found 13 in the tank... there would probably be around (at least) 20 of them... they are very good at hiding when they are that small... the average Mollie brood is in excess of 30, so it is likely that a couple of them had been eaten as well.

Also on average... (depending on your water temperature)... livebearer females "delivers" their fry at around 26/7 day intervals at a water temp of 27 deg C.... it is possible that a whole batch could be devoured after delivery.
