I still have black algae in my 55, not nearly as bad as before, I have put a ton of work into the tank trying to just keep it at bay, even if it does not actually go completely away.

I was going to get a few of the Siamese Algae eaters to put in the tank in hopes that they would help.  I can't find them locally so I guess that is out.  But yesterday I saw my new guppies happily eating away at what is growing on the amazon sword. Believe it or not, guppies eat the black algae. Or my guppies do anyway.    Either that or I have finally gotten rid of the black algae  and it is another type.  Whichever it is, I am happy I got some fish, purely by accident, that like to eat it.

Believe it or not...i had a tank of guppies get rid of a pond snail invasion for me in their tank. I think they were basically eating the eggs! Guppies are pretty cool fish at times. Lol.
