So i came how from work last night to find some nice fry.
I caught four and placed them in the trapped
and then caught 3 today and did the same.

I cant get pictures of the parents sine they move way to fast XD

But what got me the most confused is that one fry is already showing colour, its darker than them all and even has a yellow, florescent tail just like the mother.
Is this right?

They are only just one day old
and they are also bigger than others i have had o_O

A few of my fry have come out a little blacker before then the rest of the fry?
Could be earlyer developers? (Poor spelling sorry)

Okays thanks for that.
I've just never had luck with guppie fry they all seem to die on me or get eaten as they would escape the trap.
I'm going to place them into their own tank now.

I cant get pictures of my male and female they move way to fats for me.
But here is a rough picture of the male :p
The Male Guppy

This is very similar to my female only she does not have the spots
The Female

I have had no problem with guppy fry apart from one had a bent spine when i brougt him.
Mind you i never used a breeding trap as i hate the things.
Youll find out the best way would be to have a fry tank and leave the mothers to give birth in the main tank (make shure theres hiding spots for the fry) then net them and put them in the fry tank.
:good:

I use quite a large one and thats why some escaped as the first few times i had more fry but all were incredibly smaller.

It was late at night when i found them so the quickest thing was to grab the fry trap and rescue what i found XD
And there are Alot of hiding places.

Cool :) well i have three of my females about to pop again so should be busy again :)

Haha nice :D

Any advice on feeding and Ect?

I've just moved them over to the 25liter, they are happily swimming around and round xD

I used to use baby brine shrimp but that was a right pain to do!
So now i use finely crushed flake food, Pea's, Alge wafer and dried blood worm.
Just feed them once a day and keep the water clean and remove uneaten food.
Nothing rearly to it :)

Alright, i pretty much do so anyways :D
They Love BBs and i crushed some flake food they like that also, and i also broke a tiny bit of algea wafer of and they eat that too
They even look as if they have grown in just a few days

They are a week almost 2 weeks old now, and have grown a huge amount :D
Im so happy as my other fry never grew

Congratulations on the fry surviving and thriving. Now it is time to look over your feeding schedule and make sure you don't just use a single food. It is probably also way past time to do a massive water change. Initial success is nice but I favor being able to raise my fish to adult size and that means care with food and water quality. Beware that much that has been written, especially in the internet, about guppies contains suggestions about temperature that serious guppy people would never follow. Guppies do best at the low end of their acceptable range which means around 72F, 22C. They grow a bit slower at that temperature but are stronger fish that show well and live to a ripe old age. At 78 to 80F, 25 to 26C, they grow faster but burn out early and never really develop to their full potential.

Okays
i change their water more often and feed regualry at 12 and im always changing their food daily
The water temp is around 23.4

A few of mine arrive slightly yellower or black, but no other colours. Its pretty usual, so nothing to worry about.
