Hi everyone,

I've been playing guitar for the past two years on my own and I've learned a few songs...but I'm looking for a few more and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions? They need to be relatively easy as I am by no means an expert. Thanks!

Well I'm a fan of the goo goo dolls...barenaked ladies...creed...anything that is acoustic basically

they're call pretty simple bands, musically at least. you'll be able to pick up their chord based books in any major music shop.

Light up my room is a pretty simple arpeggio (think thats the right time - I'm self taught) and Slide by the goo goo dolls isn't much different.
Other Side by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers is another good one, whether you're playing lead or rhythm.
Fast Car by Tracey Chapman is quite simple, and sounds great.

The acoustic version of Times Like These by the Foo's is the first song I ever learned.

I reccomend downloading the program called PowerTab. It's freeware. Pretty much it shows the tab, plus the notes, and you can even play the MIDI version of it through the computer. A lot of people find it very helpful.
