I guess that I'm old fashioned. I don't have any of these things. Although both my living room TV's have voice control I never use it. While I'm still a bit of a computer geek I just don't seem to have much interest in this 'smart stuff'. Years ago I may have found interest but now I'm happy with what I have and am used to.

surprising with you be so into computer and not having any smart devices. You should get yourself an echo dot device for kicks. It is very useful. I control many of my lights, my air conditioner, my fish tank lights and more. And I can control my roku tv by voice using the echo dot. I use it for timers, reminders, an alarm clock in my bedroom, sports scores and statistics, news, weather, and to answer any question on any topic. Pretty amazing for like $30. You need smart plugs if you want to automate lighting and other devices but they came way down in price over the last year or two.
