hi my green teror is having white stringy poos over the last couple of days i was just wodering what was wrong with him and how to treat it any help is appreciated thanks

Need alot more info.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Long stringy white poo can mean constipation, bacterial infection, to internal parasites.
Check the anus of the fish to see if its enlarged and red inflamed, lost weight, or looks bloated.
For now try some shelled peas.

Hi thanks currently he is in a 48x15x18 tank he is approx 5" water stats are nitrites, ammonia 0 nitrates are 20,ph 6.8. ive just put in a 2" jag which is only temporary while my mate is away. and also a 5" royal pleco which has always been in he doesnt seem to have lost weight but is eating less and spitting it out more when he eats pellets

Could be dealing with flukes which you can get internally as well.
Any flickiing and rubbing.

no there is no rubbing/flicking of any kind im thinking internal parasites?? what is good to treat it? thanks

Put the med up for you in a link.

Yes as parasites do alot of damage to the insides of the fish causing bacterial infections on top.

Taken from here look under spitting as well.

Internal Parasitic Worms- Intestinal worms are usually found in outdoor fish. Indoor fish can become infected through wild-caught fish, or by feeding certain live foods that carry the parasites.

Thorny headed worms- These parasites attach themselves to the intestine, damaging lining and making the fish susceptible to infections and other parasites. These particular parasites hang on the gut lining by a cluster of tiny hooks and absorb food over their entire body surface.

Tapeworms- They are usually flattened and similar to a ribbon in shape. They use sucking discs or hooks to attach themselves to the belly or intestine of the fish.

Threadworms or roundworms- They are usually found in the intestine of the fish. There are only a few select species that will be found in fish tanks.

Camallanus- A worm that infects the rectum of aquarium fish. It is usually seen in livebearing fish. Clusters of the worm can sometimes be seen protruding from the anus of a resting fish.

Intestinal flukes- The gill and skin flukes are exterior parasites.

Thanks for the info have you used this stuff before do you know how long it will take to deliver and will my fish last that long? cheers

No I havent so couldn't say how good it is.
Usually get meds in a day or two at the most.
The longer you leave it the more it will wipe fish out.
Good luck.
