Strange but true lol, I have 2 x 3inch GSP's and a chubby 5inch GSP in my 100 litre. They're all very happy but when I switch off the light they splash around unless I sit beside the tank for a few mins, then turn the light off and stay a few mins, then they're fine, is this normal?

Mine can jump for England, but as to whether they do it out of fear or not I would not like to say! I do know you need a bigger tank though! 100 ltrs is no where big enough for three GSP's. You will need to double that size at least imo.

I kept 2 gsp's in a 40 litre and they were happy, my 100 litre is planted and the water quality is awesome and the fish are very happy, imo I think it's rubbish about tank size as I've kept puffers for years and never had a prob they have always been happy and grown and eaten fine and always had good colouration.

I dissagree they grow to 6 inches - 3 adults in a 100 litre will be to much.

You will eventually have to upgrade as they are extremely territorial as they get older.

Why do you think that tank size vs. fish size is "rubbish". I'm pretty sure most people would agree that putting a big fish in a small tank is NOT okay. I wouldn't want to live in a little box that I couldn't get out of, even if I did get all my favourite foods and oxygen to breathe. Just my opinion though.

Maybe as they get older but they're fine right now and the boss is actually the smallest one so my adult isn't at all territorial at the moment.
