from the beginning then..
when i went to check on the fish before feeding last night i found my arowana looking sorry for himself sitting on the bottom in the back corner, after a few encouraging nudges he got up and starter to swim again, this was mainly so I could see his other side, to my horror he had quite a nasty patch where a few scales had been knocked out.
Still unsure of who had done this the oscar soon stepped up and started flaring and mouthing at the the arowana and well everyone else aswell .
I had to stand there fending the oscar off with feeding tongs until he got into a sulk and backed down. soon after I stopped jabbing him with the tongs he rised up again and started over. I had a 30" which was running and i was going to move him here for a week or so to teach him a lesson but he wasn't having any of it last night so gave up on him.
I feed them, set up my camera to take pictures through the night and then went off to bed.
I was awoken earlier this morning by my mum getting me to wake up and sort out the tank as no one had eaten, there were lance fish everywhere and to top it off the water level had dropped in the sump so 1 of the pumps wasn't running. After I got all of that back and running I contibued to get the oscar out and moved him in with Cookie. It wasn't easy but he got tired after a while and got into the bag.
so if he picks on any one in there he'll get his arse kicked! Of course there's Cookie and there's a overly agresive pike cichlid who killed 5 other pikes and put another much larger pike cichlid and delhezi bichir on deaths door.
So what a start to the day!
