Yes, my hubbie said it happened while I was there for a reason.........

Now I feel compelled to go and check on them all of the time........

No Heather...it's foolish customers (according to Walmart) they claim 'teenagers' dump them in together when no one's looking

That's just plain sad.

It's so sad to think that some people have "fun" at the expense of something as helpless as a fish! They must have pretty pathetic lives!

Welcome to my world I'm in my Wal-mart checking on the bettas at least twice a week,I've been doing it for almost a year now (you'd THINK they'd straighten up already).
I feel as though I'm the self elected betta mommy for this area Somebodies gotta watch out for the little guys

I put in an application at walmart yesterday...I'm looking for a new job anyway so I figured why not...My ultimate goal is to work in that pet department...Everything else is just not important! (to me anyway )

Although we dont have Walmart here in australia, we have a chain of petstores that sell bettas an have them in small tanks of about 500mls of water
I was at a LFS today, and had them in massive containers.. Makes me happy too see them in betta (pun ) conditions

I know what you mean,seems here lately everywhere I go to check the bettas they have switched to the gigantic cups which aren't fantastic but SO much better than the teeny tiny ones. Petco hasn't caught on yet,but I'm hoping soon they will. My lfs doesn't keep bettas in cups,they are ALL in at least one gallon betta tanks! That impressed me.
