I have had my plants in for about a month now, and i was wondering if you guys could give me some help
I have a row of Eleocharis Vivipara - the tall wavey grass.
1)It has grown really quick and is now reaching the surface of the water which is cool. However, it is not spreading out so well. I want a wall, but its still in the clumps i planted it in. Any help there?
2) It is green, other than right at the base where it looks brown. Is this due to lack of light?
3) When it grows, it did not just grow directly upwards, it seemed to create a junction and then branch off in about 10 directions from there. So because these junctions are around half way up, it does not look so great. What should i do?
4) Any maintenance suggestions for these?
I have a carpet of Eleocharis parvula
1) They just dont seem to be growing or spreading at all!
2) some of the pods that i planted have brown shoots coming from them
Vesicularia ferriei 'Weeping'
I bought a couple packets of this and tied it down to my bogwood with some special thread which is supposed to dissolve over time. But it went from green, to brown, and never seemed to come back again! There are still hints of green in it though. It is getting plenty of light, and CO2, so no idea what is wrong! Suggestions?
Tank info: 360L, 2400l/h filtration, 4000l/h additional flow from a power head. CO2 system which is distributed by a reactor and then through my spray bar which is 3/4 the length of the tank. Full range of ADA substrates. Ferts - i have started running the Estimative Index method. I have two T5 tubes at 54W each. They share the same purpose built reflector as they are in an 'over tank' unit.
