i have an adult female guppy(look at my signature) and it has a pinkish growth on it! what can be the possible diseases? and what r some cures?????

Apart from being a pinky colour what does it look like.
Can you try and get a picture.

Does it look fluffy?
Is it just a blob?

I hope someone can help you but they are going to need more info or possibly a pic.

Your tanks are overstocked.
Can you post water stats please.

Any white around the edges of the pink growth.
Does the growth look hard of soft like filled with fluid.
Any redness to the growth.
Has the growth just suddenly appeared.

i only have the ammonia and nitrate stats which r both 0.
the spot looks soft
its not red
it did suddenly appear.or maybe it appeared a couple days ago but i didnt see it
its not white around the edges.

the 36 gal is not mine but it used to be and i didnt add any of those big fish.
the 5 gal isnt overstocked it just has to many babies.but that isnt gonna be a problem soon.

Use a bacterial med then.

You can only have about 15 fry at the most in a 5 gal. With all the feeding the tank can soon become polluted.
Just because fry are small dosn't mean you can have loads in.
Water quality test results will soon tell you if the tanks overstocked.

Wouldn't bother with the breeder net. Fish can jump in and eat the fry.
Also there no room for the fry to move if it's a small net.

omg i didnt know that! can i put them in a bredders net?
How is your fish doing? As stated, your tank is very overstocked. With a five gallon, really the most guppies that should be in there is 3. I had 7 fish in my tank (six guppies and 1 pygmy) and they were crowded in there and I notice it was more difficult to keep the water levels in check. I ended up doing water changes twice as often. They all caught a fungus, which I first thought was the over stocking, but soon realized that it was due to new fish from the LFS bringing home illness.

If the fish isn't feeling, you may need to cull her to keep whatever she has from spreading.

Good luck!

shes actually fine but she still has that blob on her.it hasnt changed in size or color or nothing, its like a pimple that never goes away ;/

What med are you using?

It sounds bacterial.
What's your location.
