Hi, I have several small twig like pieces of bogwood in which today I have attatched a thin layer of java moss to using cotton thread. I want the moss to 'attatch' to the wood and grow thicker as quick as possible but I thought it may be faster to grow it emersed in a sealed plastic container (with some water) by the window. In the past it seemed to grow faster and quicker on a piece of bogwood that came out of the water. My only worry is the moss may suffer when it is placed back under water as it has to re-acclimatise? The aquarium is low-tech, with 1.5 wpg, pH 7.5, low fish stock and no dosing regimen to speak of.
